Making “Stories of Possible” Visible

SABIC has introduced a European campaign to heighten brand awareness by demonstrating that the company is a leading supplier of innovative materials.

Many SABIC customers have a story to tell. In its ‘Stories of Possible’ campaign, customers take centre stage to talk about their vision and ambitions. They then demonstrate – and illustrate - how SABIC’s contribution helped to turn them into reality.

A key element of the campaign is a series of videos, featuring real applications and processes, as well as the people behind them. SABIC chose to work with Marketing Solutions, a sister company of EMG, to help reach a wider audience, gain share of voice within key trade publications, and drive video views.

Our media specialists compiled a list of media covering plastics processing and material technology as well as targeted industries: appliances, architecture, building & construction, chemical, composites, electrical, food packaging, industrial automation & robotics, industrial design, packaging, and transportation. We also appointed a specialist industrial copywriter to draft the necessary press releases and media alerts.

With a dedicated page for the ‘Stories of Possible’ campaign on PressReleaseFinder.com, multi-media alerts for each video and a series of multi-media press releases, the team has created a number of editorial opportunities that will extend beyond the campaign to help keep SABIC in the media for some considerable time.

Throughout the campaign’s running time, Marketing Solutions will focus its time and effort on the top tier media, following up on press release distribution, identifying technical article opportunities and pitching interviews.

To further support and promote SABIC’s ‘Stories of Possible’ campaign and help drive web traffic and video views, Marketing Solutions prepared an advertising campaign. The campaign is a mix of online banners, ads in digital publications, and video ads on key pan-European plastics industry platforms.

SABIC’s Stories of Possible campaign has been recently honoured with the Gold Stevie® Award for “Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Business-to-Business” in the 12th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business in November in New York. Additionally, the campaign received a Silver Stevie® Award for “Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Marketing Business-to-Business”, and a Bronze Stevie® Award for “Brand Experience of the Year - Business-to-Business” at the 12th Annual International Business Awards in October in Toronto, Canada. The Stevie Awards is the world’s premier business awards program with more than 3.700 entries from 60 nations and territories
