2016 - a year of two halves

This year is set to be a bumper year for the plastics and rubber industry with the world’s two largest events taking place- Chinaplas in April, and then K-2016 in October in Dusseldorf.

As the world’s foremost international B2B communications agency in the plastics and chemicals sectors, EMG’s teams in China and Europe are busily gearing up for both shows.

Chinaplas, back in Shanghai again and running from April 25-28th at the SNIEC venue, expects to surpass last year’s success with over 140,000 visitors anticipated from 150 countries around the world, keeping some 3,200 international exhibitors busy over the 4-day event.  This year’s show also marks the 30th anniversary of the world’s No 2 plastics and rubber event. 

The show’s theme of “Greenovation for a Smart Future” will highlight the importance of sustainability in the plastics and rubber industries.   Three concurrent events: “Medical Plastics Conference”, “Industry 4.0 Conference” and “Design X Innovation” will reinforce this message and focus on green and innovative technologies, as well as intelligent manufacturing solutions.
