This Autumn, EMG clients are taking part in a large number of trade shows around the world.

As the global economy begins to show signs of recovery, companies are looking to increase their overall visibility in the marketplace, whilst at the same time using the opportunity to have multiple face-to face meetings with customers, potential suppliers and - last but not least - the media.

K 2010 - Düsseldorf
A significant number of EMG clients is taking part in K 2010, the world's largest plastics event which starts on 27 October in Düsseldorf. EMG has supported clients throughout the year as they prepared for this three-yearly industry showcase.

As the only company to specialize in global media and marcom programmes for the plastics and chemicals industry, EMG will be operating from a dedicated office in the showground.

From here, we will use our Press Relations expertise and well-established relationships with the top plastics and chemicals editors to maximize online and print media coverage opportunities.

Our team members have worked at K shows since 1982 and we know and are known to the trade media like no other agency. During the last 9 shows we have worked with dozens of leading players to gain valuable media coverage during and after the event, by sourcing material, preparing copy and interfacing with both industry and vertical media across the globe.

This year, for the first time, EMG will also be staging its own "bite-size" seminar, details of which can be found elsewhere in this publication.

Industry and geographic focus
Although the K show is an important global event, EMG clients are also present at a number of trade events with a more specific industry and/or geographic focus. In these final 4 months of 2010, we are supporting our clients' communications efforts at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC), Husum WindEnergy, InnoTrans, CPhI 2010, ICSE 2010, Aluminium Messe, bluezone2010, Composites Europe, SEPAWA, EPCA, Plastic Pipes Conference XV Vancouver, Chinacoat and SPS/ IPC/DRIVES, one of the world's largest international exhibitions for electric automation technology. In addition, we will also be supporting exhibition organisers by handling the PR for JEC Singapore.

In the months leading up to these events, EMG has raised awareness through pre-show media activities, HTML newsletters and through our online industry press room for trade editors, PressReleaseFinder™ and its Chinese version (www.prf. cn). In addition, we have helped to develop company and product literature and collateral, customer presentations, set-up interviews with editors at events and provided pre-show training for company spokespersons.
