EMG gears up for SPS IPC Drives 2013

SPS IPC Drives is one of the largest international exhibitions for electric automation technology. The show, which is held every year in Nuremberg, Germany, focuses not just on individual components but on complete systems and fully integrated automation solutions.

In 2012, the show and conference attracted well over 56,000 trade visitors looking for new technologies and innovative applications. During the three day event, exhibitors are faced with the need to introduce and explain the benefits of their solutions for increasingly complex applications throughout a wide range of industries from process automation to alternative energy generation and distribution.

At an event such as this, the communicator’s key challenge is to effectively deliver both general and specific messages in an easy-to-understand format. Last year, EMG worked with its client Belden – a leading supplier of automation solutions for mission critical applications – to ensure that visitors to the Belden stand were shown the basics, with more detailed background available via Apple and Android apps.

As well as promoting the new apps, EMG organised over 40 one-on-one interviews with key EMEA trade press in German, English, Italian and Spanish. EMG also delivered media kits and arranged a video interview with a key Belden manager for a leading automation portal. EMG is now working on plans for the 2013 show where we aim to create increased awareness of our clients’ products and services.
