GE Additive acquires GeonX to strengthen software simulation capabilities

Frankfurt am Main (Germany), November 16, 2017 – GE Additive announced today that it has acquired GeonX, a privately-owned developer of simulation software. Terms of the deal are not being disclosed.

Perstorp launches world’s first portfolio of renewable polyols

Perstorp November 15, 2017 - Perstorp is announcing world’s first portfolio of renewable alternatives to the essential polyols Pentaerythritol (Penta), Trimethylolpropane (TMP), and Neopentyl glycol (Neo). The product portfolio will be globally launched at China Coat. The launch is a response to the fast growing global need for more sustainable Coatings, Resins and Synthetic Lubricants to mention a few. Avery Dennison announces global winners of “Wrap Like a King” Challenge

OEGSTGEEST, the Netherlands — November 14, 2017 — Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions announced that Lei’d Low by Nick Caminiti, car wrap installer at Exotic Graphix from Australia, was named the King of the Wrap World in the “Wrap Like a King” Challenge at the 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Nick Caminiti, car wrap installer at Exotic Graphix from Australia, competed against 159 other installers from 19 countries to earn the title for 2017.

GE Additive unveils first BETA machine from its Project Atlas program

Frankfurt am Main (Germany), November 14, 2017 – GE Additive today unveiled the first BETA machine developed as part of its Project A.T.L.A.S program. The meter-class, laser powder-bed fusion machine has been developed to provide manufacturers of large parts and components with a scalable solution that can be configured and customized to their own specific industry applications.


À Formnext, SABIC expose une sélection de pièces réalisées à partir de ses filaments et qui sont représentatives d’applications types d’un vaste ensemble de secteurs industriels. Parmi ces pièces, un mini-drone qui pourrait bénéficier de l’excellent comportement à l’impact et la ductilité améliorée à basse température du nouveau filament LEXAN™ EXL AMHI240F de SABIC. Ce filament, qui propose une réponse au besoin de l’industrie en général pour des matériaux plus performants, est le premier d’une série de nouveaux matériaux à caractéristiques fonctionnelles différenciées, que la société a prévu de lancer l’an prochain.

À Formnext, SABIC présente plusieurs nouvelles matières et démontre son engagement à faire progresser les procédés de fabrication additive

Francfort, Allemagne, le 14 novembre 2017 - Sur son stand n°3.1-G78 à Formnext 2017, la société SABIC, qui compte parmi les leaders de l’industrie chimique mondiale, a choisi de mettre fortement l’accent sur l’évolution de la fabrication additive, du prototypage jusqu’à la production industrielle. La société lance aujourd’hui son nouveau filament LEXAN™ EXL AMHI240F, un produit unique pour la modélisation par dépôt en fusion (Fused Deposition Modeling ou FDM) qui confère une résistance élevée à l’impact et de la ductilité à basse température. Le filament LEXAN™ EXL vient compléter le portefeuille de filaments que SABIC a introduit sur le marché l’an dernier et que la société expose aujourd’hui à Formnext. SABIC lance également une famille de produits sur le marché européen, cette famille regroupe huit formulations renforcées et destinées à la fabrication additive pour pièces de grande taille. Illustrant là encore son orientation résolument tournée vers les technologies «disruptives», SABIC présente plusieurs autres solutions marquantes dans le domaine de la fabrication additive.
